Stay back 50 yards from the  river mouth "Wildlife Resting Area" . They are protected and there's a point of "No Return" for currents flushing into the Ocean.
Be generous. If you feel a current, you're too close.

River mouth perched.  Slow currents below 8 ft in Guerneville, especially with incoming tide.

Currents present upstream and here after each rain. 

12/05/2021:  Fairly calm and clear. Temps peaking in mid 60s Sun - Wed. Thur temps drop to chilly low 50 highs. Crossing our fingers that it warms up enough  to open rentals next weekend. Expect rain late Sun possibly for 7+ days.
