Who We Are:

​

Owner Suki Waters, is a local Native American descendant, guide and kayak instructor who has been working with the public in outdoor recreation, interpretation and safety since 1979.

Other guides and staff are outdoor enthusiasts and professionals including guides, instructors and interns with their own unique experience and expertise. Most of us have been or are still active in volunteer or professional positions involving Recreation, Safety and Education. Our interns are future leaders in related outdoor safety, research or education fields.

We have water rescue personell on staff including lifeguards, first responders and swiftwater and flood rescue kayakers and swimmers.

Current Regular Staff

Keith Chandler: Certified Lifeguard
Kayaker and nature enthusiasts. Semi-retired business owner. Well, only semi as he works as a valuable member of our team.





 

Barbara Gegan: Client Services, Outdoor Hike Guide and Interpreter. Current and long time volunteer for Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods and Garden Teacher for local Schools. Retired Teacher.
 

Part-Time or Seasonal Specialists:

Anneka Turner: Team Leader and Alternate Staff Trainer and Supervisor.
Living Classrooms Project Guide, Raft and Kayak Guide with a Masters in Business and Masters in Fly Fishing. She also currently manages the books for large privately owned agriculture farms.
